Question Nitros - is it the 'chav' of the performance world???

Just noticed that not many scoob owners seem to go for it???

considering the BHP per £££ i thought it'd be a very popular mod??

75bhp+ and more for £600/800ish is pretty good aint it??

is it considered 'cheating' , or is it just unreliable???

just wondered after seeing that anchient 25 tonne Jag beat the 911 turbo etc.. on that Top Gear episode...

I agree totally camie.

Many people end up with a lovely nitrous kit and a lump of scrap metal. I'm not a nitrous person myself. It seems more popular on n/a cars from what I've seen in my area.

Possibly, but I think it's more the case that an outlay of only 1k would buy you a decat exhaust and a tek 3 which -if I'm not mistaken- adds on average of 55bhp and as much, if not more, lbs ft torque without the risk of blowing your engine to the other side of next week!

Best.

Cold Fusion kits are £350 with different sized Jets. I didn't use it on my first Impreza but plan on with the next one.

Erm, no. A 25 shot usually adds at least 25BHP and in most cases more.

Nice site, found it an interesting read. Never really thought about a scoob lump in a beetle, but why not, the perfect shape and size.

A friend uses it all the time on the drag strip, the car does 12.2 without gas and 11.3 @ 129mph on gas (75bhp jets) Its also good for the long straight in coombe if you've not got big power! I never used it that much on the street but when I did, boy did it surprise people
