How Do you Get Dash Pod Out To Fit White Dials
#4
I’ve fitted silver dials to my car (MY94) - What make is your kit? I had a lockwood kit with quite good instructions - I can scan them tonight & email them to you if you like.
Dead easy - took about 2hrs - need to be careful with the needles though...

If I remember correctly, you need to wiggle the main unit a bit (technical I know) pushing the bottom away from you and getting the top out first. You can then tilt the whole unit forward and disconnect the speedo cable. It should all pull through the main aperture now…
Hope it helps
(ps. you may need plasters for your knuckles afterwards)

Scott, i did mine last weekend and it's a bit tricky, once the plastic surround is removed wiggle the unit towards you left-side will come foward more then by this time the speedo cable would have come off on it's own, when theres enough room disconnect the one multi=plug on the left and get your hand behind the unit from the left side there's two multi-plugs on the right ones a small blue one the other is the same as the left side. BEWARE i broke my rev counter removing the needle because the centre pin came out. hope this helps. to replace is the reverse of above except you put the speedo cable back on from under the dash. Have Fun

Just to add a little to the above.
When you wiggle the dash out from the left hand side, one of the multi plugs attaches to the top at the back of the pod with a plastic clip. Slipping this off will give you enough space to reach the speedo plug.
