10000mile service!
Just taken my MY03 scooby into the dealer, i bought it from new, for its 10000mile service. Dont have a problem with the cost of the basic service but i do with the "added" bodywork inspection that is needed to keep it in warranty. You would of thought that modern cars nowadays would not need an inspection costing £176! Add to that the cost of 2 front tyres (my fault!)(£150), insurance renewal (£740) and tax (not sure how much..but enough to give Mr Prescott another Jag!). Anyway im delaying the bodywork insp till after xmas. Well moan over!

The body service is a check of the underseal and reapply where needed.
You could do that yourself with some waxoil for £25.
My wagon is a 95 with no corrosion but has been wax oil by the previous owner before.
It has full Subaru history but not for the body inspections.
its up to you really... you pays your money you takes your choice.

Whichever dealer is charging £150 +VAT for the body inspection wants his windows putting through, the thieving ****** I had mine done for £45 +vat. It takes them all of 20 minutes and they use about 1/2 a litre of waxoil, so let's agree on £40 labour (1/2 hour stealer rate) and £5 materials.
Youy can get your service done by an independant specialist you know Block exemption ruling removal means your warranty is safe as long as the car is serviced by a VAT registered establishment with adequate skills/experience and using OE quality or higher parts. Plenty to choose from, Scoobyclinic, Prosport, TSL......
PS. I'll PM you the dealer I used.
