Default How to remove splash guards/small mudguards???

Hi, just wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the genuine subaru front and rear splash guards, that is the optoional extra small mudguard type things that are fitted on some cars like in the pic below.

How did they bolt on, tried to undo one of the bolts in the arch and it just turns round on the inside, think i can feel a nut on the inside of the lower one.

Just remember that they cost 250quid new. They have a screw underneath and a bolt on the end that fits into a captive plastic nut type thing. It sounds like the bolt and nut are both turning at the same time so you will need to cut the bolt to get them off. You cannot buy the brackets seperately so you will need to stick back on with spoiler tape. (presumably after colour coding?) Mine are stuck back on

I'm assuming you get them from a Subaru dealer - quite fancied a set but not at £250!!

Had the same problem with mine on one side. In the end the metal bolt sheared in half yet the plastic clip it screwed into was fine!!??

I haven't got around to putting them back on, was going to colour code them with the side skirts and spoilers (when I get them).
