Thats right - according to EVO today that enfuriating limit has been thrown out - NOW we are going to see an EVO - SCOOBY power war.....!!

I spotted that in Evo too - as cars get heavier, it was just getting a bit silly. Besides, there's been a discrepancy between quoted and actual figures for a while now. I've even heard that some cars are dyno tested at altitude
Let's just hope that we don't get an all-out competition for headline power figures at the expense of drivability and chassis balance. I'd rather have a 280PS car with great throttle response and a nimble chassis than a 400PS all-or-nothing monster any day.

They've lifted the 'restriction' (it's actually a gentlemen's agreement rather than legislation) since the start of the year, & I think the 1st volume car to go over the limit is the new Honda Legend (300ps from 3.5 litres).
