MY FIRST POST!
This is my first post on the forums
I have just bought my first scooby, a spotless 99 turbo 2000 sallon in silver. It had 63K on the clock when i first bought it 3 weeks ago, and already i have piled on another 1200 miles, I love it.
However, currently, it is unmodified, and i have the modifying bug.
I am asking for your advice as to what i should do with it as i dont want want to turn it into a rice machine, but i want it to look different to other scoobys on the road.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated
cheers

performance wise an exhaust decat and ECUTEK remap route would have you running 270 bhp for about a grand anything beyond that gets expensive.
body kit wise, if you want to be different you'll have to look at oriental stuff IMHO, do-luck, veilside that sort of thing. VERY expensive though.
pretty much anything over here has been done before due to the numbers of the cars, so be prepared to spunk some cash if you want to be exclusive.
loads of good body mods out there and if you don't mind blending in with the crowd a bit, they can be bought for very sensible money.
0-60 high fives, 0-100 is mid 14's i think, top speed about 145mph.
enjoy

I want to up the performance berfore i change the looks. People that have a car that looks fast but goes like a shopping trolley, ie nova boys, saxo boys etc, bug the s**t out of me
If i started with an exhaust decat and ECUTEK remap route, by how much would the 270bhp bring the 0-60 and 0-100 times down to??
0-60 high fives i knew it was fast but thats quicker than i thought. Peace of mind now when racing Civic Type-R's etc of the lights!!

would imagine the 0-60 to be no more than 5.5 and it's gotta knock about a second off the 0-100 as it has much more grunt right thru the revs in all gears.
as an example, the P1 has 276 bhp and does 0-60 in 4.7 and 0-100 in 12.88.
now i don't know what gear box etc the P1 uses and if that will make it quicker but i would imagine my 277bhp scoob won't be too far off that (i ain't saying i've got P1 performance though before someone says it)
agree with you about the all show no go guys, each to their own but FFS save the money you're spunking on the body mods and make it go quicker! then try to race me in your plastic pig

Scooby Kid: Welcome. Your first mod should be to give the car back its voice with a decent backbox. THe peashooters on the car as standard are awful! Enjoy!
Best.

This aggressively : *grrrrowl*
You need to go to a meet to compare really...tonnes of choice dependent on budget/asthetics/ultimate tuning goals.
Be aware that if you are going tuning nuts you'll be looking at a 3" straight through system sometime in the future in all probability...so choose wisely or you'll just be selling this down the line.

Hi mate welcome aboard im pretty new here as well - you'll notice there are plenty of ********* here but just ignore them. As far as mods go you havent given an indication of your budget but if its power your after then best bet is a green panel filter from www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk for around £35, then a full system inc. de-cat + downpipe. Ive got a hayward + scott on mine and it sounds mental. Cost around £600 all in but the quality is second to none. There are loads of exhausts available for your car so best see how much you can afford and do a search on here, theres a wealth of information in the archives. After that a good rolling road session and maybe an ecu re-map would be advised to get the best out of your new mods.
Enjoy and get some pics up asap
