Just been talking to a guy who got caught speeding in his wifes vts on the M3 . He looks set to get a ban as he was exceeding 140mph (slightly exagerated i think!!). The car that pulled him was a green scooby. Graham.

140 in a Saxo, f'ing eck, hes a brave man then !!!!! i suspect it was more like 114, slightly more beleivable.

There arent many Police forces that DONT have Imprezas anymore, most either have bought them or are trialling them.

I believe the green Scoob is owned by the Hampshire police and generally patrols the southern half of the M3.

North of Basingstoke the traffic generally goes too slow for it to be worth their while. ;-)

Camberley/Bagshot would be Surrey police, who have a green 4 door now, on a T plate.

The red 98MYs plate no is **** ***, its back after its latest "visit to the bodyshop".
I don't wish to rubbish your info but I am led to believe there is only one Scoob on the Hampshire force at the moment, the above mentioned.
The hardest one to spot is the DBM Volvo T-5 saloon (T plate), no spoilers or anything..beware nearly overtaken it at speed!!

I saw the green scooby cop car a week last Saturday, hiding in a concealed area on the south bound side of the M3 in the Camberly area. Any idea what sort of speed detection equipment it would be using? More importantly, will my Beltronic 990 save me?

Red face

Sorry, but I have it under good authority (an armed response policeman from Hampshire police force) that they now have a dark green turbo. Been on order for some time. And the red one is now back in action after being written off (not done enough miles to justify scrapping it, and its not the first time either)! This is as well as several Volvo S40s. Watch out. I'm glad I've moved to Kent!!

Warren, haven’t you got a dark green scoob, Ah I see! It’s really you playing cops and robbers, you’re the cop in your police play outfit, the wife is the robber in her stocking mask, that you get to arrest and handcuff in the back of the scoob!!!!
Well each to there own ??

I saw the dark green impreza at the M3 north/M25 junction last weekend. He had just pulled a 206GTi.

Saw a VW Vento on the M3 pulling someone over a couple of weeks back. It was that light purple/lilac colour. Might have been a VR6?

You guys don't read do you... if you'd care to check back on a post I put up a few weeks back you will find that I said there was a green scoob doing the rounds of M3/M25 Staines and general vacinity.

I even posted the registration number.... and no I'm not going to post it again because I don't have it any more and I can't be arsed to look for it.

Here's my list of unmarked cars. Anyone like to add to them:

***List removed***

As you might be able to tell I travel on the M40 every day in the Thames Valley.

Beware at junction 12 and just before junction 13 as they are favourite spots for Warks police.

I know most of the numbers of the reg's above, but I am not sure if it is good etiqutte to include them.

Regards
IanF

Hmmm, I am closing this, its getting way out of hand.

Publishing police car numbers isnt going to help much, by the time you have got close enough to read it, its going to be too late.

Just be observant, and dont do anything stupid and they will leave you alone !
