Default Ebay Scoob

Can anybody comment on this car? Anybody know it, is it a good deal. It sounds like it is to me but I'm still wet round the ears as far as scoobs are concerned. Any comments appreciated.

Actual milage is just over 80k. The private plate's not included. I don't think it is anyway..

Don't want to scare you off ............. but

I sold my MY99 in February this year (same wheels, same colour)

It did have 103,000 miles on the clock (I bought it ex fleet with 60k on it) but apart from a few minor parking dings, was in very good nick, brand new discs, springs etc

It had full FSSH (had not long had it's full 90k service - you are looking at a pretty big bill, as this is belts and all fluids) I bet this is something that the current e-bay seller has in the back of his mind..he'd be mad not to.

and... it had a brand new short block engine from Subaru at 84k with 12 months warranty still to run and a new gearbox and clutch at 76k.

Anyway...... After 2 months of struggling to sell this I eventually sold it for 7,000 quid...

I wouldn't dive in as there are plenty others to look at first.

Just my opinion

Wink

I can't see how this could be worth over £10K as "valued by the dealer". It may be his forecourt price but no thanks!

In Jan this year I sold my X Reg Turbo wagon in mint condition with more mods than his and only 45k miles for £9,600!

So, I think he's being optimistic if not a little too hopeful!

Maybe £9000 with the new engine and warranties etc but an 80,000 mile car has had wear and tear especially a performance car like the Scooby. Be careful.

Thanks for the reply's. the auctions now ended and it didn't sell. I emailed the chap and basically he will take around £7500 for it. Does this seem more like it.

what attracted me to the car was the new engine with it's 3 year warranty and also the remainder of the 2 year subaru proven warranty.
