Question

Hi All

Advertised in Trip Grip recently there has been an advertisement for a guest house in North Yorkshire called West End which is based in Richmond

Q.

Has anyone stayed at this Guesthouse? What’s it like? - food, cleanliness, and more importantly ROADS , etc?

We have booked for 3 days in early August!

Thanks

I'll ring my sister in Richmond and ask her for you, she runs the chemists shop and knows everybody - well they do in those small market towns. Bought my two Scoobies in Richmond, nice place, full of military types as Caterick garison is the other side of the A1.

Nice part of the world, you'll enjoy it.

Dunno about Richmond, but I was staying in Pickering, just south of the North York Moors all last week. Had some brill drives in the evenings (left the missus watching telly!). Some excellent un-numbered roads across the moors, although a few too many kamikaze sheep . . but the A169 Whitby-Pickering road was brill in the eves - reasonably twisty and no traffic. Luvved it!

Wink

I had a look on the map for the A169! Looks pretty good!

Had a look at some back issues of EVO and saw a report done around Hawes and on the A2265(?) i think......

Can't wait. After spending 3 days in Yorkshire - we're staying in N. Wales for the rest of the week!

James
