Default Cabin noise

thinking of upgrading MY98 wagon to summat newer.

Does cabin noise improve at speed, in MY02 onwards?

'speed' = 80 - 90 on motorway - anything more can be deafening.

Also (and this is a funny one) does the rear wash wipe do intermittent - never use it on my Wagon as it starts scraping on the second or third wipe.

My 03WRX is really pretty refined at speed. 4 door but I assume wagon is the same. It's helped by tall gearing.
100mph is about 3900rpm

I got an MY03 Sti PPP. Goes like stink but you can't even use the mobile phone as nobody can hear you above the noise. Good fun must of the time but it can be tiring on long journeys.
