Road Angels & Theft

Road Angels & Theft
Hello All,
I see loads of people with these road angels installed on their dashes. I'm not sure I'd like to leave one on show with the fear of someone thieving it.
Does anyone know if these things are targeted by thieves or are they generally pretty safe? (Has anyone had one being stolen?)
Thanks for your time
Frank

They can be inviting I'd say.
There's a chance ones in the glovebox to a thief when there is either the sucker pads marks on the front windscreen or it has a velcro patch on the dashboard.
Got a snooper myself but not had probs with patch on the dash.

I believe that once reported stolen they become useless as their serial no is simply denied access to the GPS system and the net update facility. Then again, I'm sure some enterprising ****** has sussed a way round that by now.

I leave my Bel 525 on the dash permanantly, never had a problem. My next door neighbour had his windows smashed in on his 5 series, and tthey left the Angel unit on the dash.

How does the new road angel fit, is it the same as the old one? it looks a bit chunkier in the adverts.
