Default 7'500 mile servicing

As the title say's my 97 sport is due for a 7'500 mile service after reading some of the posts on here i'm a bit apprehensive as to just how much it's going to cost me as it's the first service i've had to take it in for. can anybodygive me a realistic idea how i'm going to be charged for it. onder2:

With the new eurpoean laws now that have come into force, any reputable garage which is affiliated with the MVRA (Motor vehicle registered association) can do a service and it will not affect your warranty, get this months What car and read the article, providing they fit OEM parts. this should see dealer prices dropping pretty soon.

Depends on which service it is?
is it the 105k service?
If so, then it wont be that bad, unless you dont know the history of the car and it needs cambelt etc.
The 7.5 and 15k services are cheap, its the 30/45/60k ones that will cost you the most, especially the 90k one as that has everything throw in at once
Would expect a 105k service to cost you no more than 100 quid (or there abouts).

I thought this European directive had to be bought into by manufacturers in order for it to apply. In other words they need to sign up for it, I'm under the impression Subaru haven't. The dealers are quite adamant that I need to service my car at a dealer or my extended warranty is invalid.
