Default P1 - what is the model code??

Hi,

I want to order an HKS SSQV for my P1 but am getting confused with the model code the shop is asking for. I've had a look on the drivers side suspension tower and the model code stamped there is GM8HKED, i thought the usual codes are GC8, GDB etc.??

The chassis number on the V5 and on the car starts JF1GM8KDGYG******.

Any ideas what model it is? Obviously i want the SSQV that fits directly onto my intercooler and not a universal one that i have to bodge on.

Please help!

Iwan

The engine and ecu are that of an STi V5, that would be your closest bet me thinks.
P1's are a funny car really, they are sort of a hybrid wrx/sti, it has a 2 door shell, STi engine and ecu, ABS, no dccd.
STi V5 is definately your best bet.

Iwan thats not a good move, leave the factory bov in place, the HKS will mess the maf readings up and cause reverse pressure shocks which will make the car very jerky on gear change.

Cheers Bob (and Tony).

I was starting to have second thoughts anyway, too much money, little (if any) benefit, and potential problems. Doesn't sound very promising.

Bob, i got your email thanks, i'll speak to you later in the week,

Ta,

Iwan
