Default Wot No Scoobs :(

Hi All,

Been trying for the last 3weeks to get my hands on my first WRX Saloon Scoob, but I'm not having much luck.
Have set my budget at £5K, all in including insurance which is gonna cost me £500. So £4.5K or less for an early WRX I thought there'd be loads knocking around.
Reading thru' the forum it seems to be a buyers market

I've had a few leads, but many have been more than I want to pay. When you remind them of your budget, some of them get annoyed
Some have come near, but immediatley need tax £155, Cambelt Service (Circa£300), Tyres, Mot and other misc expenditure.

So here it is:
Cash waiting: Max(£4500)
Standard car needed, therefore No Bling, Drug dealer alloys, Skyscraper Spoilers, Bodywork damage, Rust, 6" exhausts, Highly-tuned-about-to-blow mega BHP monsters.
Colour: Silver, Black or Blue. No other colours.
No UK turbos.
No Inter-galactic mileages.
Cat1 Security essential. Tracker would be a bonus.
Previous owner needs to be a Nun or Librarian
No Wagons, I repeat, No wagons. Nothing wrong with em' just don't want one.
No clueless owners who have'nt even opened the bonnet.
No importers pretending to be private sellers. I've had enough of paying middle-men over the years so private sales only.
Some sort of service record would be nice.

Am I being a bit fussy ?

To right I am, but £4.5K for a circa 10 year old motor is a fair bit of cash I reckon !

Cheers

Hi,
By the sounds of it you want a good car, and good cars go for higher money. Keep looking one may turn up, but your hunting for a good car with a budget for a average condition one.
best of luck

Average one will be fine. I thought standard=average.

Lots of owners mod their cars by spending thousands on them. They then unrealistically expect the full amount they've sheeled out, back.

Thats why I want a standard one. To keep costs down.

Looks like I'll have to wait that little bit longer.

Cheers
