100 octane fuel in Cyprus
Ive just come back from the beautiful island of Cyprus, and can you believe that most of the petrol stations offer a choice of 95, 98 and 100 octane unleaded fuel? What is going on in this country? I thought Britain supposedly had 'Great' in front of it? I own a 2003 WRX PPP but I feel for all you people with imported classics, which, incidentally, there were some real tasty classic WRX's and STi's there, not one with an exhaust back box diameter of less than 4 inches! Who do we campaign to for 100 octane fuel?

It's probably more to do with keeping the world in seperate 'Finacial regions' . Simulary to that of DVD regioned discs Why won't Britain go to the safer standard of 110volt's. To stop peeps buying 'Imported Good's' instead of the over priced UK goods. IMHO
Now the UK's gap of spec and Price differencials in the JDM's are not so great you may start to a change to higher Octanes IMHO

we have 100 octane fuel aswell in the majority of our petrol stations, I hate going back to the UK you have crap roads, crap petrol, crap speed limits and a rip off currency exchange.

However it is WAY less efficient (voltage drop etc) and there are not that many places that still use it (Mainly Japan and USA) They didn't swap in 50/60s like us cos of costs however most new American houses have 220 also for major appliances.
There you go a bit of useless rubbish for a friday night ;-)
