$$$Servicing Costs$$$
Soon my 01wrx PPP needs its 45K service. The guy at the local dealership says it needs service every 5k because it has PPP, is this true?
The 45k service includes a cambelt change any ideas on how much $$$$$$ its gonna cost me?
Regards

When they say things like this, just ask them to put it in writing there and then. They soon check their facts that way!! 'ooh, just checked our systems sir, seems like it is 10,000 after all'

DoMJoLLy,
have a look in your glovebox, and try to find somethings called the "Service and Warranties Booklet".
If your MY01 copy suggests servicing every 7,500 miles, then it has obviously not been replaced by the current 10K interval one - so ask your dealer for a replacement.
If your dealer says that PPP requires a 5K service interval, then change dealer and report them.
If you are a troll, then try to be a bit smarter with your wind-ups

6 * 7500 = 45000 miles
i.e. they change cambelt on 6th service?????
