I have now seen a few Imprezas in DBM with gold wheels - I cannot see the appeal??? the silver looks so much better-doesnt it????? or am I the in a majority of 1?? ha ha

I havent actually seen an Impreza that they DO look good on come to think of it!!

The P1's look good - just like mine with a coating of brake dust on them!!

Not that I want to appear bias but I have to agree, I think they look much better in silver...but that might just be because mine are.

Well judging by the number of people with gold wheels some can't agree with you.
I like them on silver cars

Dont think gold wheels look good on anything but sonic blue (first choice or black as second choice) coloured cars, sorry.

I like them on Blue, Green and Silver Scoobs on silver they seem to break the look up a bit (more eye catching).

Cool

Green with gold wheels...mm.. very nice
but as I live in a democratic household mine will be blue with silver wheels. And I can't wait for mid August when it arrives!

I agree,
I originally wanted Reddish blue with gold wheels, but that stopped with MY98? so i opted for Silver - love it to bits compared to DBM. Only down factor is the amount of Silver scoobs out there you see - too many!
Ian

PS- I must admit DBM lookslovely with gold wheels though, and if i knew there were going to be soo many silver cars about i would have opted for DBM (Don't like the green at all though )

Anyone got any pictures of a silver car with anthracite wheels?

I want to upgrade to 17" and am undecided as to whether stick with traditional alloys or go for anthracite coloured (intentional anthracite, not just standard wheels with brake dust!). Must say that gold wheels with a silver car was never an option.

My vote is for the silver wheels, especially with DBM. The gold wheels are OK, but I certainly wouldn't spend extra money to have them though. Not that that's an option anyway, as the wife thinks gold wheels are horrible!

There's a very tasty silver blue RB5 at Mill End Engineering at the moment with anthracite wheels though!

I have a silver car, but there is no way I would put GOLD wheels on it!!!!

I've got the Scoobysport MIM's in graphite. Not as dark as some wheels, as it's a sort of RB5/Cool Grey/Steel Blue colour.

Looks very different, but I think I'll get them powered coated darker when the tyres need changing!!

I only like the gold wheels on the Sonic Blue cars, but that's only my opinion!!

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, eh?

I've got a dbm uk my00 with prodrive gold 17s and I think it looks the mutt's nuts.

i also wouldn't mix silver and gold on a car - looks a bit daft

let flaming commence....

DBM and gold probably does look like a mutts nuts - and as I DO NOT find mutts nuts in anyway attractive then I would agree with you

Actually Black and gold may work and Sonic Blue possibly ( but only cos it was the first! ) other than that they are NAFF

PeterL,

A mate of mines got a MY99 DBM with anthracite OZ wheels on it, looks fantastic, and hides the brake dust like a good un.

Got to say boys, gold wheels on any colour look bloody awful in my opinion (that is only my opinion though)

I prefer the RB5 17" wheel colour to gold ones!

Looks like the Silver wheels win by a fine margin then?? good - thought I may have been alone in thinking they looked naff

Watch out for all the Gold wheels on the for sale board now that everyone has broken cover!!

All those poor souls who thought Gold wheels MUST look good cos someone once way back said that it was cool!!

Angry

You're all ee-di-uts, aren't you?! Went without air con for 17" ST2 golds on my MY99 dbm (well, you can always open the window, can't you?!)

Wife wouldn't let me buy it WITHOUT them, and judging by the 95% of the population who gawp at it, they think it looks cool too!!

Wife did see 3 P1's at TH White's, Cirencester last week, and L-U-R-V-E-D their OZ's, so might just have to buy one!
