I have just been offerd a WR1 04 for £20,000. Has the value dropped on these that much already.

It may be an imported "Solberg Edition" STi rather than a WR1.

Can you tell the difference is the Solberg a Jap Import. Does it have a better Jap spec than UK

The Solberg is the base spec that the WR1 is based on. ie the colour and DCCD-A. UK WR1's went immediately to Prodrive to have many enhancements which IIRC was the springs & geometry, PFF7 wheels, remap and possibly exhaust (basically PPP).

So is there any badging to look for how can you tell the difference.

The WR1 has a specific plate on the center console i.e. WR1 logo and number ***/500
