Default Hello - am I welcome?

Hello!! I'm new here - had my fantastic scooby for a few months now. Mate at the pub told me about this site, so here I am after getting back from the pub, straight onto it!

Had a quick look around - can't believe how many people are subscribed/use the site. I see a few scoobies around, but this is fantastic!

Hopefully will get to know some of you - assume you meet up sometimes? Would be keen to come along and compare notes.

Bye for now.

Hi,

Welcome to the site.

Which Scoob have you got and where abouts in the country are you?

Be careful on here, this site's addictive!

Crikey, that was quick! Thanks Chris. I think I'm going to enjoy this site - like you say, addictive.

I've got an STI Type UK, bought it a few months ago. '53 reg. Absolutely love it. Is that sad??!! Live in the West Midlands.

Not at all. But after spending time on here and going to a few meets you'll soon have ideas about modding it

(Mine's still standard BTW)

Well I ticked the PPP box, does that count as modding? Nothing else yet though....do most people mod them? what do they do?

They all sound great to me Chris! Sort of prefer the stance of the older models (if you know what I mean), but I wanted a new car, so not much choice! Mind you, the seats on mine are great. Stereo seems the weakest part, so I switch it off and open the back windows a lot

Personally i'd leave it be. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

That said there's nothing wrong with adding a boost guage and beefing up the security a bit.

Oh and check that your tracker's working...

Bodgery, you have no idea what you have let yourself in for mate sell it and get a Vectra QUICK!! Otherwise it gonna be all downhill from here!! Mods, track days, mods, rolling roads, mods, Rally weekends, more rolling roads, track days, meets and unless you have the most understand wife or girlfriend in the world then its going to be seperation or divorce very soon..... Keep your sanity and get out whilst you still can

BTW, welcome and enjoy the wonders of Scooby ownership.

Edited to say I am one of the rare "PROUD" STi Bugeye owners
