Unhappy Shall i Keep the Scoobs, or let her go...?

Hi all....

The question comes to mind too often now...and now its go to a point where i just don't know what to do...

I have had MY98 for for 5months....but when ever i have some work done on the car or buy something for it...things just go wrong.

Biggist question that i can not answer and someone here may, is why do people offer to do work, if they are only going to cut corners to get it completed?

They get the work, try to convice and give logical reasons for there incompitance...and maybe the customer is happy for a few weeks once they realise who well the work was carried out...

Another thing i have come to realise...the general reason for a sale is that either the item is f****d, or a pile of s**t...and i am finding that on here quite a bit.

Though i like the car, and its a kind of on going project....I was thinking of selling my car, and going for a S3....

Sam,

You haven't had the best luck have you? Noticed that you have had a few issues (brakes etc) but you seem to have put a lot of work and effort in to getting your car sorted and the spec seems pretty good.

At the end of the day I'm in exactly the same boat although thankfully mine has been brilliant for three years. That said its a 97 model and I'm just throwing money after money at it to get it to a high standard. Its taken me some time but finally realised I will never achieve the perfection that I strive.

When all said and done I have been fortunate to get sound advice from specialists I trust. I too am considering my next car (sti8/ evo6 or 7) but know I'll just end up going down the same tuning route to get a car that performs as well as the one I have now.

You pay for a car that you want to enjoy......when you start to lose the pleasure I always think its time to move on. An S3 though?? Only joking. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and I hope you get sorted mate.

Final thought.......not all second hand bits from Scoobynet are rubbish. Everything I have bought has been spot on and I take pride in the items I sell. You have had a bad experience and I too would no doubt be sour.

Keep smiling.........
