My god.
I don't own scoob, but have heard many stories similar to this one. its no longer a case of them smashing the window and trying to get it away - if they want it they will get it, at whatever cost.
you have to ask is it all worth it?

Makes you kind of want to have a mass demonstration to Downing Street to make sure people who do things like this get their just deserts.
I seem to remember a man attacked a nurse in A&E in Birmingham recently and the judge did not impose a serious penalty because the offender was from a district in Birmingham where a resident with a clean criminal record was something to be proud of. Lets hope these folk responsible do not live in such an area and that same brainless judge does not preside.
Any militants out there willing to get all drivers of Hijack favourite cars to converge and hassle Tony and the establishment?

Scum. I wouldn't kill them... too good. Box them in a room for a few days and rain down on them with a baseball bat. Let 'em live with the injuries for the rest of their pathetic lives.

Yardley...that's said enough
A bloke posted up here recently who had a rather nasty attempted car jack not far away, from there.
Perhaps now there could be a possible charge of attempted murder - maybe the Police will pull their finger out on this/these gang(s). It's been going on for far far far too long round here.

Unfortunately this thing happens countless number of times but doesn't hit the press until someone is killed etc. I know 3 ppl who have had their doors booted in.
Until this country kicks the loony liberals out and gets some decent deterrent to criminals, it will happen again and again. You get 10 odd years for robbing a post office but car jacking expect a year or two.
Personally its better now to park your car on the street than advertise it on your drive outside. At least then the ******* don't know which house to knock on etc.
aNother thing why does birmingham seem to be a hotspot for this type of crime?

Most they will get stuck on for is Attempted Robbery and/or Possetion of a Firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and an assault charge of some description.
That's if they're caught.........

Even when you get stabbed by a screwdriver?
...oh let me guess, "it was self defence."
Or was it diminished responsibility due to drugs/alcohol or mental illness?
Breaking into a house, armed and stabbin the occupant with a screwdriver is definetly a planned attempt at murder in my book
I suppose if they did get away with it, would the police be willing to turn a blind eye whilst the person who was stabbed plunged a screwdriver into his attacker? No, I didn't think so

I was bought-up in Yardley, albeit 40 years ago, was a 'posh' part of Brum.
Why do you all think the police will do anything?
My 16 year old daughter was mollested 3 years ago by a 60 year old bloke i know well.
Took the police 6 days to interview him. If I had 'interviewed' him then I would be in court(quickly).
He got a warning, ie a cup of tea and a big kiss, I was told it was his word against hers, no case.
I got done for speeding running in my Audi. It took 4 days to get done.
Now you know where the priorities are.
Nothing will be done except a lot of bull ****. GET TOUGH with the yobo's, remove the liberal do-gooders and get back to the Yardley I remember.
But now.
*******s they are.

This is exactly why small arms should not have been made illegal and concealed carry should be legal.
Try to car jack me with a gun and I should have the right to shoot back...

Where are the liberal do-gooders?
Reading these attacks on people in their homes really makes be worry about getting a new car - no so much for me but for my girlfriend.
What I can't understand is who are these liberal do-gooders?
To me it's common sense that the law is in favour of the criminal, so who enables these laws to be passed?
Do most of the population live a crime free existance?
Wake up liberal do-gooders.

From personal experience i know the way these sh!theads think.
When i was car-jacked in may this year in birmingham, his words were...
Nice car, I'm taking it
Why go to work and graft for 40 - 60 hours a week when you can just take what you want
In my case the scumbag was sent down for 5 years because there was so much evidence against him.
But he could have been done for attempted murder (i was dragged down the road at 40mph by my own car).
The police only charged him with burglary and motoring offences as they said it would be harder to make other charges stick.
These scum get solicitors fighting there side and their rights paid for by you and me
I know its the defence solicitors job to fight for there client but it makes me sick.
Perhaps if these human rights people were made to live in one of our urban inner cities, they would get a true'er picture of real life.
Then if one of their family was attacked etc, would they be so quick to come the he comes from a deprived background bo!!ocks.
Sorry to go off on a moan like this.
Lets hope that the family make a full recovery and that the mental scars can be healed.
Best wishes
Greg

Mention arrests for typical yob behaviour and that Chakrabhati woman from Liberty is on the tv quicker than you can say "minority discrimination" - funny how they're never protesting about the rights of ordinary, decent people who suffer these kind of crimes..............
Just find it amazing that criminals have more rights than victims - how did we get in this state????

blimey.
up until xmas I was in yardley on a weekly basis parking right next to (Yardley Wood station) never had anything this awful happen to me (thank god) or anyone I know in that area.. damn... as for that poor family..
we should be able to defend our property/ourselve's with the same rights as US householders.
Crime is a bad thing, but better to fight back day to day than roll over and give the scum another handout
shocking.

At the end of the day a car is just a thing im sorry it just is, if someone threatens you or your family give them you keys dont try to protect your "property" it s just not worth it. Remember we pay insurance for a reason, cars can be replaced people cant.

Thats a BS attitude and you know it. In any case if you GIVE them your keys would the insurance company actually pay out???
Here goes the conversation:-
Me:- My car was stolen. I handed them the keys as they demanded them.
Insurance:- You gave them the keys??? I'm sorry sir but that isn't covered in our policy. I'm afraid you get jacksh*t from us. NEXT!
