Correct fitting of new discs
#1
I'm getting some spiral vented discs fitted tomorrow, and I've seen a few mentions that sometimes these are fitted the wrong way around.
Probably stupid question, but how do I know wether mine get fitted 'the right way'?
Thanks,
Greg

The importance is not so much to do with the external grooves, more with which way the vanes between the discs are supposed to move air for cooling.
Different manufacturers do it different ways.
Follow the manufacturers info sheet which should come with the discs?
Mike.

i got the bremo sport disk's and then got a (good!)machine shop to grove them (cross drilling mean's heat tretment)this guy has a friend in jag and he recomended that the groves should run opposet ie. clockwise facing out anticlockwise facing in.this stop's gudder under load braking.and it seems to work i'v had no problums.i have heard of some cars that give quiet a bit of vibration up trough the steering wheel when groved disk were fitted.
