Default Dilemma

PTMW! 5 yrs old & 97k miles - love it to pieces, don't want to sell etc BUT need a new car to commute/family in.

Financially I don't need to sell PTMW! but it is a little silly spending £50 month (insurance/tax) to keep at home for trackdays. Anyway...

Wifey has now told me that I don't HAVE to sell PTMW! But I could sell and save the £50 month (+ being a scoob probably £+++ ) & spend the sale proceeds on say a motorbike, Canon 300D, Widescreen TV - BUT not have PTMW! for track days, meets etc.

Heart says keep but head says sell.

What to do?

if it is not for daily use then there is no point keeping it. if you want a track only car get a caterwesterfieldjobbie.

Wagons' Rule remember

Not owning a Scoob would be hard after 5 years and so many memories - I would be very tempted to keep her until she breathes her last flame filled breath!!

Keep PTMW, Don't insure it. And use your £50/month to buy a trailer and an old volvo to tow it to track days

Can run full slicks then too

Thumbs up

Puff,

I'm with Ali-B on this one. I sold my wagon, admittedly to buy my current STI, and I still regret it even though the STI is miles better.

I put it down to the wagon being my first ever Scooby and the amazing driving experiences I had with it. Provided you can afford it then keep the beastie.

Cheers

WB

keep it, rent a lock-up without telling her park ptmw there and drive at will.

tell her you sold it and spend £££ on other boys toys regardless

If you sell PTMW you'll have to change your user name on here!

The biggest reason for not selling it is simple.

if you did sell it, you'd only be called puff
