Drinks on me! :)
Hiya all! Finally able to post so time I got the beers in eh!
Cards behind the bar, Help yerselves.
Just picked up a 95 WRX Sti. She's a little bit poorly (only way I could afford one ) Looks like previous owner forgot to add octane boost and the result of a good blast was. You guessed it! no power, burning oil worse than the Iraqi oil fields and missing like hell.
Still got to get round to doing a compression check to figure out which cylinders took a beating. You never know I might get lucky with just replacing one piston (FAT CHANCE!! )

Cheers fellas!
Spent the best part of today removing the redundant alarm wiring. I've filled a carrier bag with the stuff so far. What annoys me the most is you have to get your alarm fitted by an authorised agent to get the certificate for the insurance. Now the crux of it is i've never yet found an alarm that has been fitted correctly or even neatly. This item costs a fortune and is in most circumstances compulsary due to rising car crime, So why do I constantly find twisted together wires and joints bodge taped? Have they never heard of shrinkwrap??
One bonus was I found a turbo timer nestling in there . Going to move the boost guage seeing as it was mounted just behind the wheel. I think i'll move it to the centre console seeing as there will be no requirement for a stereo.
Going to have to do compression test tommorow and have a look at what damage there is. Who's the best source for parts (ie gaskets, rings, pistons etc) cheap is good but quality counts.
