Baby seat in a Classic?

Baby seat in a Classic?
Hi,
Going to view a Classic tomorrow, which I might well end up buying (!). However I can't take the baby seat with me as the wife needs it in her car. Can anyone tell me if they've tried the Britax First Class in a Classic, and if it fit OK (Rear and Forward facing ideally)?
Cheers.

Don't know what model of seat exactly (was britax rear facing) but my twin girls (22 months now) were brought up in the STI V5 Then they went to forward facing seats (britax clone IIRC) december last year and all was well ... those sti seats are sort of moulded to hold baby seats IMHO
Got an MPV in Feb when no 3 was close & she was heavy Now the sti is in modding terriroty!

don't know about classic, but the blobeye is a little bit tight sometimes. Baby seat doesn't fit behind me when I have the seat where its needed, and the forward facing one for the 3 year old means he sits with his feet a bit squashed. It is a fat seat though, so a slimmer one might help.

I've got a Britax "Renaisance" seat in my Scoob (classic) - it's feckin huge. LIke a throne really.
Fits in fine no probs - plenty of seat belt. In the back. Had a rear-facing seat which was a squeeze, but just move the driver's seat forward!!
Bear in mind that if it's a UK Scoob, there will be a front passenger airbag - no child seat in the front, as you can't turn it off.
Not too sure about imports etc
Hope this helps.

When I got mine fitted the only one that was suitable was the Britax one like Juilan has. That was from Mothercare. Something to do with the webbing being to long on the bit that the seatbelt clips in to.

You should be fin with the First Class. I have 2 Club Class Extra seats (the First Class replaced this model) on in the back of my Classic MY00 and one in the back of my wife's Forester (sad Subaru family or what?). The seat is good rear & front facing (not front seat due to airbag) and will go from Birth to 4 Yrs. Check out www.britax.co.uk as they have a very useful 'does my seat fit my car' section.
Did you buy it???
