More MPG after recall job??
MY02 WRX which was suffering with occasional clutch judder when cold.
Recently fixed under waranty and I believe it has new clutch, bearings and possibly flywheel.
Only had a couple of tanks of fuel since (Optimax) normally get 230 to 250 before light comes on (11 - 12 litres left) been getting 270 - 280 with the same amount left.
Driving style unchanged, journey type all still the same.
Any ideas, any of the components = less drag etc.??
Cheers

Hadn't thought of that, Pioneer stereo seemed to have kept all it's settings though. Not sure if it has battery back up, possible though
Anyone else any ideas or similar experience?

Interesting issue though.... Have you turned your aircon off? That's exactly the mpg difference I get with mine between aircon on and off....

It turns out the likely cause is the fact the ECU was reset by the garage. I didn't realise it had been until I spoke to the Mrs and she said the stereo was all untuned when she picked it up.
It may be because I didn't reset the ECU when I had a full Scoobysport system including de-cat about ten months ago. It's definately a noticable amount of extra mpg ... so im happy!
