Default A day in the life of.........me

Up at 6.30 this morning like a six year old at christmas, first time ive been up before the kids in the morning......in a long time. It was the day to pick up my first Scooby!!!
Its a MY00 UK Impreza Turbo, standard apart from an afterburner exhaust. My wife was determined she was going to drive it first and that i would have to take the kids to drop off the escort that was lent to us. Off we went with the Wife following me, every time she pulled up behind me i'd see her in the mirror mouthing to me "I WANT TO GO FASTER". I had a few concerns that when she got out of the scooby that she would be complaining about the noise, but she loved it!!!!!! In fact she had a hu ge grin on her face and has been fighting with me all day to drive it, she normally hates driving. So all in all a good day, new scoob and the wife loves it, i even mentioned that i might want to go to a 'meet' with other scooby owners, i expected her to call me a sad tw*t, but instead she said it would be a nice idea and we could take the kids along!!!!!!!
So a big up to my wife, who never stops astounding and suprising me, but then thats why i married her!!!!!!!!!!!

So guess i might try and catch up with a couple of people somewhere around South East, some time soon.

Luke

1) Car
2) GF
2b) Beer
2c) ****

etc etc etc

glad you like the car, happy motoring

I did take the father-in-law for a quick spin up the A27 (my first chance to see what she would really do) and i just thought i may need to make it just a bit quicker .

And my wife has given the scoob a name.......... Esther, anyone else have a name for their Scoob or any car?

Hey Luke I know how you've been feeling! Pick up my scoob in 2 weeks. Had to laugh at the car naming, must be a girlie thing! My (ex) GF named all my cars.

I've had Amy the Astra, Penny Peugot, Vicky Vectra amongst others

I was gonna post a question asking if other people named their cars but felt a bit of a numnuts

enjoy

GF does the same, also she fills her car up with cushions, wtf is that about.

Slightly off topic, the same gf has cushions all over her bedroom plus a throw on the bed, which everytime i stay there gets thrown onto the damn floor.

Is there a purpose for cushions and throws?

This was my other halfs initial reaction when I first got the STi:

She loves it now and has a change of personality when she gets behind the wheel. I like to call the car Kylie. Every once in a while I take her to a nice quiet back road and give her a good spanking!!!!

When I drive my missus Beetle she goes mad if I don't wave at other Beetles (I feel embarrassed lol) Yet she couldn't spot another Impreza in a Subaru garage!

She enjoys driving mine though - as long as she doesn't hit boost....

And as for naming cars... don't ask - hers is called Molly.

My woman loves Scoobies too. She prefers to be driven because I am such a **** passenger when SHE is driving!!

She names all her cars and our WR1 is called Kylie and the WRX is called Snoopy. Just let her get on with it and don't even try to work out how her head works because I'm sure it is based around chaos theory!!

Happy motoring Luke.
