A web site/ supplier idea for Scoobysport
Simon,
THis comapny http://www.safetydevices.com/oldsite/rollcage.htm makes roll cages specifically designed for many stock auto's including the Impreza. And they make them in designs that allow for regular road users to enter/exit and sit as normal. I think one of these should be an option on your new scoobysport specials coming out- not least because it would make such a high performance car like yours that much more prescise handling as well as safer. Take care, JL

Hi JL
Thanks for that. We are actually looking at roll cages currently.
The problems are that they are *potentially* dangerous for road use as bare heads tend to get upset when the collide with them during an accident. But we're looking at a potentially clever idea which will get around this.
All the best

Simon,
Glad your on the case. Not sure if this is will be your idea or not, but it would seem to me that if you used the US spec side airbags, that those coupled with the front-airbags would make it pretty darn hard for anyones head to hit anything other than the airbags- unless they drive unbelted? However the only problem on this one would be the need to recalibrate the airbag sensors based on the increaed rigidity of the shell. (I'm sure Porsche have figured that out already) Also look at that safety devices site- as they also have some new tech foam that they are using now. Hope your able to use a cage. Thanks, JL
