Default WR1 gets its first beans!

1k mile service and followed by a few additonal miles and the fun now begins. The car in my opinion is awesome. The noise and the power is frigthening. The best way I can explain the power is I feel like my eyes are going to bleed. I love it and it is worth every penny!

Get my serviced August 10th , can't wait, from what I've read thinks just keep on improving as the engine settles down. Still can't get over the number of looks and comments, driving slow gives them a chnace to have a good look, but not for long.

Compared to my WRX the WR1 is a completely different car in so many ways. I guess I expected it to be similar with a little more power. The only negative thought I have had so far was with the tyres. Having said that, now they are scrubbed in a little they are fantastic in the dry. I'm not so sure about them in the wet?

Strut brace will be fitted in a couple of weeks time!!

Can I ask you for more details? I've had Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s on PFF7s on my STi8, but I've found them very prone to sidewall damage - two out of four have got dinged already - one by just hitting a bump in the road at speed and the sidewall getting pinched as a result (and yes, I check my tyre pressures regularly - 2.3 bar at the front, 2.1 at the back). They're much softer vertically than the original Bridgestone Potenzas.

I was thinking of trying the recommended Pirelli P-Zero Neros next to see if they're any better. as I change tyres every six months (30k miles a year!), I have the luxury of being able to try everything on the market!

I wish I could help you in your decision. I haven't noticed any damage however, I've only covered 1300miles on them so far.

My P Zero's r fine although i've only done 1100 miles and the only time they were driven in the wet the car was being run in so not being driven anywhere near the limit. I'm happy with them in the dry though if that helps and they seem harder wearing than the Bridgestones my WRX had IMO.

Not far wrong, but being out each night to get the miles on. Got some of that wax you recommended, now got to find the time to but it on. Did you get the e mail with my mobile ?
