Donald's in P'boro have a 9800 mile STi for £21995. Dec 03, WR blue. How much do you want the extra 30bhp PPP gives you?

If he saves the £1500 by buying the model you suggest, he'll probably spend well in excess of £1500, trying to get the power up to PPP territory.

The 265bhp STi is well documented to be "lacking" and the PPP is the way the standard car should have been.

In fact, a WRX PPP is a better driver/performer than a standard STi.

To answer your question Nescoob, it is a tad dear, but thats the price you pay to a dealer.

You could get a similar private example for circa £21k.

or spend little more on that 1500 saving and get it ppp (thus having a newer car for the same money) or use the money and get a proper remap etc

i also think it is a bit much

This just the Prodrive styling and not the PPP so it will still be the standard bhp.

No kidding... But you can sometimes wait them out: I tried to get them to drop the price of one of their cars to £14k by pointing out I'd been offered a very similar car for that price elsewhere. They wouldn't deal, but guess what: six weeks later it's down to £14k. They lost the sale though.

No it won't, this will be the full 305ps PPP version.

On the MY03 there is no such thing as "prodrive styling".

When the car was facelifted into the blobeye, they did away with Prodrive and non-Prodrive versions. The cars are all identical.

This car would appear to have the PPP, and if you read Subaru.co.uk's used car section, you will see that they refer to PPP'd versions as WRX STi Type UK Prodrive.

Hope this clears things up.

Thats not what the salesman has told me, would I be better getting a standard sti and going to somewhere like TSL and having their 333 upgrade then? Does anyone know the price of this?

Thanks

No probs mate.

On the bugeye, they offered the styling kit cos it was a dog as standard! lol

It consisted of wraparound fog covers, high rear spoiler, side skirts and blue dials IIRC.

Guys, ficko here... Does the TSL remap invalidate the warranty? Only reason is I bought an STi my03 with the prodrive face lift and not the var var voom kit.
