Default How much would it cost to...

I am thinking of buying an 03 Impreza Sti maybe with the PPP, and I was wondering how much does it cost to fill the petrol tank and how many miles are you roughly going to get out of it! I know it all depends how you drive it but I just want to get a rough figure.

I don't want to get one, then not be able to afford to run it.

Are there any plans to bring out a new Impreza in the near future?

Thanks for any help.

I have an 02 JDM WRX Wagon that averages 23mpg (Currently pretty much standard)

My best was 29mpg but I never hit boost for a whole tank - damn hard to do lol, it's easier not having a beer for a week!

If I let it get near empty then it will take about £37 of optimax and I'll get around 220 miles from that. My driving is mainly backroads through the country to work (25mile round trip) so plenty of speed change but virtually not idling in traffic.

The Sti is better performing so maybe worse?

I have a mate with a modified Classic Sti JDM who averages 17mpg - but he does a lot of short journeys and canes it everywhere

*Edit - Just like to add that if your doing a lot of Motorway driving/A-Roads and can keep your speed down then I believe it can go up quite a lot. I haven't been able to test that yet, but will over the next couple of weeks

50L tank - so at worst about £45 to fill.

You will get 200 - 280 miles out of that depending on how you drive it.

Insurance is high.

A standard service is £180 - £220 ish.
A big service is more like £400 +

Erm, brake pads tend to last about 20k. Clutch can be worn out quite fast. Thats it I think.

New impreza - just an upgrade to the interior, well just the dash I think.

P.s. if you are worried about money buy a fiesta and keep shopping at argos.. if you want to have a hoot driving buy an impreza..

(I hope that was ON-Message)

I have an STI8 (04) PPP and from Darmstadt (in Germany) where I work its 1240 Miles to my home in Cardiff, round trip (done about 2/3 times a year).

I average 16 miles to the gallon, but thats all motorway and in Germany at about 120mph, Belgium 100, france 100, UK 70/80 (can't afford any more points).

I have done the the trip from Darmstadt to Calais (approx 400 odd miles) in 4 hours 15 minutes, including 2 stops (fuel and ****) approx 20 minutes - not really a fare comparison to anything in the UK.

I even went past the cozzers on the coast road to Calais in France at 120mph, either they didn't see me or didn't care, I still made the 10 am ferry!

Average usually around 23, dropping to 18ish on a blast, but got over 30 once on a very unusual trip to Wales. Normally about £38 to fill up, £42 the one time I let it go down to the light.
