Default STi 03/04 Facelift

Does anyone know of anywhere which offers a package to facelift a 01/02 bugeye to the look of the 03/04 and exactly what would be included - i.e. Lights, Boot Spoiler, Bonnet Vent and a rough price for the lot?

I'm not sure it could be economically done as pretty much all panels would need to be refitted. Add to that the loss at resale time then I think If you wanted an 03/04 it'd probably be cheaper to trade in and buy one. There are some other changes as well as the cosmetic ones which would mean that even if it looked like an 03/04 it would'nt be one.

seconded the above, its just not economical to do the job, youd be talking multiple thousands, and a hell of a lot of hours to get it done correctly, also, i dont think anybody does a "kit" to do such a thing anyway.

The resale values would be non existant as well.

The wings and bonnet would have to be changed, possibly the inner wings and front panels too, and i think the aperture for the rear lights is different, so you'd need new rear panels as well.
As they said above you'd be talking big money.

Wings, bonnet, bumper, front panels all have to be changed, plus the inner wings cut.
It's the lights that will be the expensive parts. Bumpers and bonnets aren't too bad.
Thought about it myself, I've got most of the parts here, but everytime I see it done I can't help thinking it's been done because of a smash. Doesn't really make economical sense otherwise.

At the rear, the rear spoiler is a straight swap over using the same holes.
And there's rear lights available that look very similar with the red/clear rather than the frosted lens.

Maybe you could do the rear of the car?
Could you not replace the bugeye rear bumper with the blobeye style. Then fit the blobeye lights that wil now fit with the new bumper?

Assuming the holes to fit the lights and bumper are at the same location?

I know of a bugeye WRX in Essex that has had the treatment to look like the blobeye. Front and rear.

This is the company that carried out the work.

Generally, whenever you see what appears to be a bugeye original car with a blobeye front, this means that the car has been in a severe , i.e. a write off, and then rebuilt, unless of course the owner/seller can prove other wise.

Cyprus is full of bugeye Imprezas with the blobeye front, and all are crash repaired Japanese imports.

This theory can be confirmed by several knowledgeable sources here on Scoobynet.

i'm sure i've read on here before that the price is around 3k+ to convert - not really worth it IMHO!
