Default My Rolling Road Day

Well been to well lane today, and jumped on the rollers after the honda's day. first warm up run was 237bhp ish, then a aborted run due to a bit of det then baz asked me if i wanted to carry on? he said it was the silghtest pinking he could hear, so i told him to have another go and if it did it again to pull it. The next run was 297bhp 260 lbft torque, and no det

Baz told me to run an octane booster and that sould sort the det and get a knock link fitted so thats the next plan.

but all in all well happy with that

Oh a big thank's to Chris and Rob at ccs perfonance

And here is mine

Up 10 bhp on 4th July RR @ Well Lane, bit hotter too, and no rain !!

Torque was down this time, but was down to ignition being retarded quite severly due to Knock Correction @ 2.5 degrees

And here is the graph from 2 weeks earlier with a broken up-pipe

Interesting result as i have a similar spec scoob to yours, mines a MY99 PPP but it still has the downpipe cat.
With cat i managed 250 bhp with between 230/240 lb/ft at Well Lane
Nice increase for me to look forward to for just a downpipe change.

Yep, Kes has a nice car (drove back in Convoy) but he cant drive a go kart to save his life LOL

TBH I think Kes was pleased with his results, defo good figures

And I couldnt keep up with him on the slip road to join the motorway !!

SCD Simon, my car also has ported & wrapped headers, and ported Up-pipe, but it hasnt been mapped for those yet, so it probably made little difference to the results

Steve, next time we're at 3 Sisters, I'll let you show me where I'm going wrong

A few of the honda owners seemed to think the rollers were reading lower than last time they were there, but the results seem pretty consistent with other Well Lane results imo. It's just a shame that the 2.5 litre couldn't show it's full potential, plenty more to come there once the gearbox is sorted.

LOL Kes, you do sadly, every time

Yep they did all seem a bit miffed about their results, but I think Rich put them all to shame really as the book figure for his car is 92 bhp, and out of the 4 or 5 runs they did with his car, it got 92 bhp

It is a shame about Chris's car, next time hopefully

Thats pretty much what my old MY00 PPP ran at well lane, 249bhp, 240lbs of torque, so a fairly good benchmark

It was obvious as soon as they started to run the car on the rollers that the rear wheels were barely turning compared to the fronts. The figures as far as i know were 403 BHP and 330 lb/ft, with well over 300 BHP at the wheels. Wheel spin was definitely an issue, as it was effectivly FWD...
