Has anyone heard of warrantywise, ant stories re claim settlements. I found them advertised through what car and had a look what was actually covered and it seems quite comprehensive and includes cover for your clutch which you don't normally find. The details of the cover are listed below.

Is this to good to be true?

ENGINE: rocker assembly, hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves, springs and guides, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, push rods, camshaft and followers, timing gears and chains, camshaft and followers, timing belts, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, connecting rods, gudgeon pins and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, inlet manifold, flywheel and starter ring gear. Timing belts are covered provided that the last due change of belt has taken place as specified by the manufacturer's schedule (proof required).

MANUAL GEARBOX: internal gears, sychromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, bearings, bushes and transfer gears.

AUTOMATIC GEARBOX: internal shafts and gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, governor, oil pump, bearings and bushes, servo, drive plates and transfer gears.

TORQUE CONVERTOR: all internal mechanical parts.

CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION: internal clutches, planetary gears, reduction gears, shafts, variable pulleys, thrust link drive, internal seals, bushes and bearings.

DIFFERENTIALS: internal crown wheel and pinion, gears and shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust washers and spacers.

PROP-SHAFTS: all universal joints and couplings.

WHEEL BEARINGS: front and rear wheel bearings.

REAR WHEEL DRIVE: half shafts, external drive shafts, constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings.

FRONT WHEEL DRIVE: drive shafts, constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings.

FOUR WHEEL DRIVE: all four wheel drive components are covered.

CLUTCH: centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing, master cylinder and slave cylinder, oil contamination.

COOLING SYSTEM: radiator, oil cooler, heater matrix, water pump, viscous fan coupling, thermostat and the thermostat housing.

FUEL SYSTEM (diesel and petrol): carburettor, automatic choke, mechanical or electrical fuel pump, fuel injection pump and tank sender unit.

FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM: throttle body, airflow meter, idle control valve, cold start valve, warm up regulator, overrun cutoff valve, throttle potentiometer, fuel accumulator, pressure regulator, map sensor (except injectors and heater plugs).

FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION: hydrolastic displacers, hydropneumatic spheres, coil springs, upper and lower wishbones and ball and swivel joints.

STEERING (including power assisted steering): power assisted steering rack and pump, steering rack and pinion, steering box, power steering reservoir and idler box.

BRAKES: master cylinder, wheel cylinders, restrictor valve, brake caliper seals and servo.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: starter motor, starter soleniod including pre-engagement mechanism and bendix drive, alternator and diode pack, ignition coil, voltage regulator, indicator relay, front and rear windscreen wiper and washer motors, electric window motors and sunroof motors, electric window switches, sunroof switch, centralised locking, heater fan motor, distributor, electronic ignition amplifier, thermostatically controlled radiator fan motor, horn and multi-function stalk switch.

ECU, AIR CON, ABS and TURBO for all vehicles up to 3 years old and all 4x4s and Specials. ECU included for all vehicles from 3 to 7 years old. Any one, or all of these items can be added when and where required.

WORKING MATERIALS AND CASINGS: oils, oil filters, antifreeze and casings where required.

Yeah but what's your chances of actually getting a claim accepted? Warranties may look good but if you can't get them to pay out, you're wasting your money....
