Have you sold your Scooby but then returned to the fold?
I'm interested to here peeps views and experiences if the have sold their Scoobs, but a different make and model car but then returned to a Scoob.
Oh yeah and how long was it before you saw the light again.
A colleague in London did this
Sold a MY99 WRX
bought an Evo VI
3 weeks later part ex'd it for a MY04 STi
He said it was the biggest mistake he's made chopping in his MY99.
I myself was considering chopping my MY02 WRX in for an RX8 but decided against it in the end
Anyone else?

I sold an MY99 and replaced it with a Civic Type R (30th Anniversary), am now back to the Scooby after 1 year. Great fun in the CTR but not the kick in the kick in the back punch acceleration or wet weather confidence (amongst other things) as the Scoob.
Not getting a bug eye was also largely down to company car tax which is better on the MY04.

Had quite a few cars and when I was 19 I bought a my98 impreza and loved it, then decided to sell it 8 months later and get something cheaper and I got a fiat coupe 20v turbo which was a fun car and very quick. But I regretted selling the scoob so I sold it 4 months on and bought a my99 impreza PPP about 3 weeks ago and am very happy again.

I had a 99my Turbo for 3 years then sold it for a Freelander which was the worst car I've ever owned. I kept the Freelander for 11 months & sold it for a Focus ST170. After a year, I went to a Subaru dealer open day for the new Phase 3 cars & got the bug again. A year later I bought a WR1 once the Focus depreciation had got under control.

Had a MY97 uk turbo for 2 years, unfortunately crashed into someone, the resulting points and claim has meant I''ve not been able to insure a scooby at a realistic price for the past few years.Currently got a Lupo GTI , Recently been out test driving different scoobs, just waiting to get a drive in a WRXPPP and a bug eye STI before deciding what to purchase.......................................

Went from a 99 Turbo to Jag X-Type 2.5 (should have bought 3.0 litre). Jag was a great car but unfortunately Ford are obviously rubbing off on the Jag dealers as the service was poor at best and the car was constantly back for niggly problems that took 2 or 3 attempts to fix. Either that or the Jag dealer viewed us X-Type owners as the bottom of the food chain and not potential repeat business. Main reason I went for the Jag was that I didn't like the bug eye look or the insurance premiums that I was been quoted for the scoob.
However, now back with a 2003 STi UK, test drove it, loved it, bought it I don't think I'll be making the same mistake and parting with the scoob any time soon

Had a MY00 with a few mods for about ayear, sold her for a 225 TT Coupe. Nice car, good looking and well made but just didnt have that grin factor. Very clinical and cold.
Another year on and back to the fold with a new age WRX PPP..love it! More practical and more fun, you can have it both ways!
