I really don't have a problem with them clamping down on the boy racers. I'm certainly not one of them and it has been getting a little bit out of hand of late. However why did they feel it necessary to include a photo of a scoob with this article They are beyond the reach of most of the boy racers round here.

I'm a professional and I've worked hard to be able to afford a Scooby. I bought one as an enthusiast. I don't want to be lumped in with all the idiots who thrash their modded Novas, Corsas etc. round the ring road every Sunday night (and most of them are complete sheds if you have ever witnessed Cheltenham cruise night). I especially object to the association with drug dealing etc.

Anyway as a council tax payer I will be sending an email of complaint. I'll post it up later.

A lot of "boy racers" have scoobs now. They are at a price where they are as cheap to buy as a Paxo. Get youself an Octavia vRS and have none of the image problems
