Default WR1 Delivery Miles.

I'm due to collect the new car next week and was wondering what was the mileage on the car at the time of collection. I have bought new cars before and they useually have about low 20's on the clock but the WR1 being brought into this country then modified and I assume test driven...you get my drift.

I would be most upset if mine had more than 50 miles on the clock
test drives should not be required as mods have been tested and
are assumed good enough to just fit

Well, after the lads at the docks have given it a test, the transporter driver had to take it the 'long way round' to load it on the transporter, all the mechanics in the dealership have PDI'd it and finally the sales staff and even the bloke who cleans it have given their seal of approval you might see 50 miles or so? At least they've saved you the bother of a thousand miles running-in!
Dodgy colour- but enjoy it!

The section in the service book about the PDI says that the car must be taken on a test drive for at least 15 minutes.

11.5 miles on mine. I was a little concerned/ worried that it was a bit on the high side and someone had 'test' driven it... but its a bit of weight off my mind seeing as its quite comparable to you lot.

The dealers will save the hard test drives until the car is in for its 1000 mile service! I wonder how much the cars mileage will go up by when they go in?!?

Can't remember what the miliage was when I picked up my new MY02STi to busy finding out where the Bright switch was LOL

We had a scooby meet at the dealers to coinside with me picking it up I then took it for a 20 mile run then let my mates who were there, take it out for a test drive with a previso the 4K limit wasn't broken it think it had 120 miles on the clock the next time I drove it.

Dealerships can reset/rewrite the data, so it will have whatever they want on the speedo?
