IIRC the PPP on bugeyes was only 245bhp compared to the 265 on blobeyes, unless like a friend of mine you fitted the blobeye pack to a bugeye.

Ergo, blobs should be a little quicker, in theory.

There's no difference - they're mechanically identical, I believe.

MY03 might be slightly more aerodynamic, but that's about it.

Both were 265bhp out of the box and PPP in both cases is 305.

The "blobeye" IS the fastest of the two models but its not just due down to the engine as it is basically the same just with a revised manifold which gives it more torque but it gets its speed from lighter flywheel and revised transmission so its just that bit quicker through the gears, oh, it has a different ECU obviously which has given it more torque and its slightly better on MPG's too not that that matters if you can afford a new(ish) STI.

Suspension has also been slighty stiffened up too but retains the same ride hieght.

Being honest though you would have to be an excellent driver to actually drive the cars to the limit to tell the difference and not crash lol. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen very often.

Neway, have fun with whatever you drive and sorry bout ranting on, its been a while since ive posted on her.

My old bugeye sti with ppp (early piggy-back) gave slightly more bhp and stronger torque over a wider range than blobeyes with re-maps on the g-force
rollers.
Post warranty I would rather have the remap though as I am sure it is kinder to the engine!
