Talking First Year Body Service

Hello All,

My first year body service is booked in for Thursday 8th (car is 13 months old - ooops). It is costing £90 + VAT (£105 approx).

Who has had this done, is it worth the money not debating its value just the cost - I have read somewhere it being done by one dealer for about £50.

Brian.

Phone around all local dealerships. I phoned 3 when I wanted mine doing. 1st wanted £125+vat , 2nd £100+vat , 3rd £45+vat . You can guess which got the business.

Brian,

I'd phone around and see if the difference in cost can justify having to drive further to get it done.

They just check the external bodywork and remove and re-spray underseal on the underside of the car.

Hi Stefan (again),

They said they also treat all the cavities, sills, etc and it takes 1 and a half hours! Don't really want to take it to D(r)ive or Halleys!! The petrol cost to S&S etc would also cut into the saving. Also, forgot to ask them about my SIDC dicount which I should get, so it should be £95 - trying to build up a rapport with Nobles - they have had thousands out of me already - if you know where I'm coming from.

Brian.
