Question

Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can get a protective mesh to protect the rad from stone/debris damage ? I had a quick glance last nite to find a few large dents in the rad .

Has anyone made one recently who would like to share the info ??

Bought mesh from B&Q ( I assume your from the UK ).

Took all of an hour to remove bumper, size mesh in place and refit.

Oh, also used rest of mesh for behind grille and the hole in the back bumper where the number plate sits. ( Not relevant if you have the big plates)

Question

I must have hit some seriously BIG flies VERY fast !!!! I too have some sizeable impact points low down on the radiator. How dense should the mesh be - not too much or it would restrict airflow ??
cheers

GGR do the stainless steel guards. If you get them you will spend a good half hour wondering just how the heck they fit as they do not supply instructions. Judging by the amount of twigs, bits of hay and dead flying things trapped in mine they do the job.
