Angry WANTED: Driver of X586GBH White Astra Van for criminal damage and dangerous driving.

Thanks to the driver and passenger of the above vehicle for hurling missiles at my car at junction 6 of the M3 leaving me needing a new nearside wing and door. Upon reporting the incident to the police the DVLA is still 'awaiting V5 details'. If anyone know where this car might be please let me know as the police would like a chat and it would be nice, just once, for the scum to pay for the damage they've done. Last seen heading Southbound on the M3 at 10am on Friday 18th June. Spread the word peeps and we'll see if the internet can come up with something.

Thanks in advance.

Andy.

With the new V5 legislation I thought the previous owners were responsible until the other tear offs had been sent in and acknowledged. I have just got a letter from the DVLA stating there register I am now not the Owner of the Car I sold. The previous owners must know who sold the car to ?

Thanks Guys. The vehicle followed me off at Junction 6, stopped the traffic on the slip road whilst the passenger got out and smashed a mug into the wing of the car before getting back in and rejoining the M3, so it went past Basingstoke heading South. I couldnt get any witnesses because I there was nowhere to stop, it being a motorway junction. The Basingstoke Gazette are running an appeal for witnesses and the police strongly suspect they may already know these charcters when they catch them up.

The current keeper has not sent the V5 details back or has supplied false information. The police are going to talk to the last known keeper to see if they can shed any light on he matter.

Fortunately no-one was hurt etc but these scumbags were nutters and the fact they are driving round in an as yet untraced vehicle makes them a bit more invisible and more likely to do this sort of thing in the belief they will get away with it.

Spread the plate around peeps, lets see what we can come up with!

I believe the reason for the attack was because they came up behind me and tailgated me for a while. I then put a bit of distance between the cars and slowed back to 70. Id forgotten about it until next thing I knew they were alongside shouting and gesturing before preceding to swerve in front of me and jam their brakes on. I flipped them the bird and thats when they started chucking stuff. I left them again but when I got into the inside lane to pull off at jn 6, thats when they pulled off to do some serious damage.

In retrospect I shouldnt have gestured back but I was getting pretty narked at that point and I dont think it gives them the right to bash my car up. The stuff they were chucking at me on the mway could well have hit other vehicles nearby.

mate, the only thing i can recommend is dont post what happened on here, i would hate to think you get them to court and the defence finds posts with your account on here. that could harm your defence.

dont want to be negative, but you know how it works on here, guilty till and all tha'

if there are no witnesses, it will be your word against them, guaranteed they will say that you cut them up/threw objects at them etc.

Thats IF they do get caught and it even manages to get to court...

CPS= Criminal Protection Service

There is a lot of the 'travelling types' in the Hants area at the moment....could be the thieving pikies out and about.

Red face

MORE F**KERS!!!!!

Seems that the roads are filled with these sh*tbags nowadays!!

What would happen if this happened and then you decided to call the police (on your hands free) and then follow the offending vehicle at a safe distance?

Would the police send a traffic car to intercept you and then pull them over?? Don't think so!!!! They would probably say..."oh sorry mate....too busy" ......... "report it to your local station when you get home....there's a good lad.....and don't go speeding now will you?"......"by the way....you are hands free aren't you?"

I hope the Astra crashed into a tree just after it left you and the occupants were seriously injured!!!

Cheers for the data check cb, thats interesting. If they havent supplied vehicle details for 7 months chances are it didnt get 'lost in the post'.

I dont hold out much hope of a succesful prosecution as it would take a witness coming forward from the appeal in the Basingstoke papers and eventually tracking the car down, at which point I'm sure he will deny it all.

The police were spot on about it though, I called it through to traffic within 10 minutes and they put out a call on the vehicle (without success). They took a statement from me at lunchtime, took photos of the damage and even went so far as to look for the mug to fingerprint it. They are going to talk to the last owner of the astra as its a comercial vehicle there may be a bill of sale for VAT purposes that will provide a lead.

At the end of the day, its only panel damage, I didnt get my head kicked in or stabbed etc, but if I'd have been stuck in the slip road queue I get the impression they wouldnt have been above that.

If anyone hears of a red pre-facelift classic being broken with a good nearside, I'd be interested.

Cheers Guys, if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post the reg that might mean people will keep their eyes peeled for it, let me know. Itd be pretty sweet to track them down.

Sorry to hear about that mate,
similar thing happened to me a week or so ago!
I joined a main road, accelerated quite hard to get up with the flow of traffic, then backed off a little. The vehicle in front of me was a flat bed Transit, its occupants noticed me as the passenger kept turning around to have a look, the next thing i know was they were hurling things out of the passenger window, needless to say i had to swerve on several occasions to avoid hitting them!
Thankfully i was turning off at the next exit.
They are just idiots who need to get a life!

surely they are more than just idiots though, they have some mental or social problem if they find it OK to hurl things from a moving vehicle on a motorway!

I'd have thought that would be an instant driving ban and prison?

witness, I have seen a few of your posts now and it does appear you have a bit of a chip on your shoulder.

My question is this, why would someone who is so anti-Subaru, and wants nothing more than to cause arguements sign up to a subaru forum? Don't you have anything better to do?

This is not meant as a dig at you but a sensible question..........
