WANTED: Driver of X586GBH White Astra Van for criminal damage and dangerous driving.
Witness - so what is your job? From what I read you are hinting that you are in the Police. Several scoobynet members are Police officers and if you are job we would be interested to hear what you do?
"Professional job yes so watch what you say on here hey."
Whats this all about?

Now stop spoiling this thread and all the others on this board and move along
Witness,
2 things, firstly most policemen I've met can spell, which you obviously can't so you sure you are one?
Secondly from another post I've never heard "over and out" in the emergency services, "over" yes, "out" yes but not "over and out". The correct way to end a radio message is "out"
Think you may just be a wind up merchant.

Witness - my advice to you then - you dont seem to add any value to the threads you post on, I think you need to consider why you are here. Do you have a positive interest in Subaru cars, do you own a Subaru? If you are a Police officer you are acting very unprofessionally, this is not what is expected of you. Pull your neck in and get it sorted.
Change your attitude and you will find most people here are happy to have a sensible discussion, storm in here and proclaim you know best etc and you will get a slightly different response....

Shame I missed the deleted posts as this thread now makes no sense at all! The nearest I could get from reading it as it stands is that witness is a professional van-driver-who-throws-things-out-of-the-window.
On second thoughts, that makes sense

Erm.....!?! Not sure whats gone on, but the original point of the thread was to keep an eye out for X586GBH and let me know if its spotted somewhere so I can pass the info to the police. A long shot for sure, but if I post it all over the internet you never know.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Since I got my first scoob this year, I have been driving a lot more defensively than ever before and I am trying hard to be as 'invisible' as possible to avoid any hint of trouble. I never race anyone from lights now and try to pull over on the motorway for anything that appears to be looming from behind (people carriers, vans and off road vehicles are often driven by aggresive tail-gating types). I know this all sounds a bit wet, but my first thought is for the safety of my car and passengers and the affect of not only someone else's bad driving on me but the potential consequences for other vehicles in the vicinity if something gets out of control.
If faced with what happened to our friend, I hope that I would try to put as much distance between me and the other vehicle whilst keeping an eye on it's progress - if he was coming off the motorway, it might be better to stay on until the next exit. Mind you, when this type of thing happens, there may not be lot you can do if you are taken by surprise. Maybe the golden rule is to remain alert to the position and intent of other vehicles and expect the worst from other drivers.
Mind you, in a non-built up area and where the road is clear with good visibility, I can enjoy driving the car as it is intended to be.
I hope that they find these nasty people in the van.

Witness couldn't catch a cold. Typical kind of person who lowers the Police's reputation further. Better off without that kind of person in any kind of uniform unless it has arrows on it. If you are indeed a female Police officer I have a mental picture of you similar to the photos of US army women with the prisoners. You are a sad excuse for a human. You personify everything that is wrong with society and I can imagine you trying to abuse your power. Pathetic.
agree with pMarch
I have had the Scooby for a year now and drive much more defensively since a recent road rage incident on the M20.
I was driving on the A20 towards the M20 and a yellow transit ‘connect’ van was indicating to pull out into the outside lane where I was in a queue of 4 cars doing about 70mph, anyway there was no room for him and he had to wait till I’d passed, when he pulled out behind me he started flashing and ‘gesticulating’ right on my ****, so close I could not read his number plate!!!
Got a bit of distance heading towards brands hatch on the M20 and forgot all about him, bugger me but when I got past BH I saw him dodging in and out of the traffic behind me to catch up!!! Quite alarmed I slowed down to let him pass, did he ****, pulled up along side me and started the I’ll run into you swerving, then right up my ****, then heavy braking – all in amongst heavy motorway traffic.
I tried to fool him by turning off the M20 to Brands in quite a reckless way (sorry) but he just cut some truck up to follow me, now I was really bothered, still with him on my ****, flashing etc. Got rid of him by heading down to roundabout and then racing back up hill at full bore on empty lane and hiding (yes hiding) in a layby a few miles up the road!!
Now I drive very defensively and try not to p1ss anyone off by doing daft things, just not worth it. It doesn’t detract from being a Scooby owner and I’d never change it just because of some to55er with no brain cells.

Ignoring the silly posts, I find it incomprehensible why people behave like this
