Hello. N00b here.....thought i would show you my Impreza.....
Hi There,
My name is Dave and i have just bought myself an Impreza Wagon.
First off i am scared, having searched the forum, that you will all be nasty to me cos it is a mere 1.6 GL......all 90 throbbing HP of it....
Secondly - i have asked a few questions on this post - if they should be somewhere else then please advise and i will move them - sorry i am new
Anyway this is the link to the advert,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=2482547617
In all honesty, i am not expecting too much - i wanted a practical estate car, and was looking at a 318 touring or a merc estate for about £1000, then i saw this and fell in love with it at first sight....
I guess i would like some feedback on the car, what people think etc, also can anyone give some HONEST advice as to the performance of it - i assume it is "much of a muchness" with any other 1.6 liter car, which is fine - i assume it is a relatively torquey lump however?
The other question is i do not know if it is 4WD or FWD - i will find out tomorrow but what is the difference, a) in performance, and b) in handling in the dry (wet / ice i think is self explainatory)
Next i have a couple of questions.
1 - I would like to get a nice backbox to unleash that cool flat-4 burble. I do not want to spend the earth. Where can i get one, what makes are good, and what should i pay?
2 - I would like to fit the pair of "Turbo/WRX" boot spoilers to it - i think the lower is a simple drill/screw in job through the boot lid, however the top one needs the glass drilled. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

As for exhausts - yuo've got quite a few choices, doing a search will throw up results letting you know the different charecteristics for each one:
Scoobyworlds ninja's, afterbuners, vortex - http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/trolleyed/index.htm
TSL's systems - http://www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk/
Scoobysports - http://www.scoobysport.co.uk/
Jap Innovations - http://www.jap-innovations.fsnet.co.uk/
then theres Magnex, H&S, Powerflow, available from most garages.
