If it had been delivered to the garage Liam will have insured and had the car registered in his name. Difficult one for all concerned, lets hope IM can et him a replacement quickly (assuming there are any to sell)

Bad luck mate.

Is that right ?

If it was under the Dealers control then it would be insured by the dealer

I agree with Phil.

Should be covered under dealers insurance.

Do you not normally get the insurance to start on the morning u pick up your new car??

I certainly do.

I made mine to start at 9am on a certain day. I was at dealers at 9.30am to pick the car up.

Gutted for you though.

The WR1's needed registering therefore insuring before the PPP'd

I would still think if it hadn't been delivered then its down to the dealer IMHO

Not sure if this is the same theft but have just seen on local teletext that Chandlers of Belton (nr Grantham) have had a Impreza stolen. They drove the car at the police before escaping at over 100mph

Feel for you mate, you must be sick as a fairground goldfish! I know it's not the same but a few years back I was due to pick up a new car at 15:00hrs having part exed my old one. At 12:00hrs the feckin cambelt snapped on my current car!!! The dealer knocked £600 off for the job, I was well pi88ed off. Hope it's sorted soon for you

Gutted for you.

As it happens my WR1 was in the dealers for four days before I could collect and they told me it was covered under their insurance should anything happen to it. Hopefully will be the same for you.

Good luck m8.

really sorry for ya ....

With trackers, Cat 1 Alarms etc ... it makes you wonder what else they can do to stop this with technology - it must be hard to hot wire ??????

Feel Sorry for you

I would think it'd be fairly hard to sell on, it's not as though they are as common as a ford focus. I'm not even sure you could strip them down for that many resale parts.

I thought all tracking devices were activated as soon as they were fitted?
The installer would've had to do a location check with the control centre to make sure it worked. Surely they don't just deactivate them for the sake of a few days as they are hardwired...?
