WR1 No.138 Stolen last night

Well you thought you were having a bad day  my car was stolen last night from the dealers garage.. BIG STLYE

Feckin scum stole 2 cars & used another to crash their STEEL barrier then drove mine out (causing some damage)

Trackstar was not activated & car now gone

Nathan L 12 June 2004 12:08 PM

Phil 12 June 2004 12:20 PM

Was it your property or still the garages?

16vmarc 12 June 2004 12:21 PM

FFS

MattW 12 June 2004 12:55 PM

If it had been delivered to the garage Liam will have insured and had the car registered in his name. Difficult one for all concerned, lets hope IM can et him a replacement quickly (assuming there are any to sell)

Bad luck mate.

Phil 12 June 2004 01:06 PM

Is that right ?

If it was under the Dealers control then it would be insured by the dealer

Scoob99 12 June 2004 01:06 PM

Mate soo gutted for you, scum should be shot!!!!!!!!

Nathan L 12 June 2004 01:10 PM

I agree with Phil.

Should be covered under dealers insurance.

Nathan..

16vmarc 12 June 2004 01:13 PM

Dealers responsibilty.

GrantyBoy 12 June 2004 01:23 PM

sorry for you pal

Brian the Sn@il 12 June 2004 01:29 PM

Had you taken delivery of it or was it in for its 1000 mile service mate ?

ChungsterSTI 12 June 2004 01:40 PM

Do you not normally get the insurance to start on the morning u pick up your new car??

I certainly do.

I made mine to start at 9am on a certain day. I was at dealers at 9.30am to pick the car up.

Gutted for you though. :(

Phil 12 June 2004 01:57 PM

The WR1's needed registering therefore insuring before the PPP'd

I would still think if it hadn't been delivered then its down to the dealer IMHO

subaruwr1 12 June 2004 02:11 PM

I cant beleive the scum who do this sort of thing..
They need locking up or shooting in my opinion!
Bad luck M8 ,hopefully IM will sort something out for you soon.
Which dealer did it get stolen from??
Regards
Ian

Gutted for you mate. I work for a main dealer and can assure you it will be covered under their insurance wheather you are insured on it or not.;)

kev m 12 June 2004 02:25 PM

Not sure if this is the same theft but have just seen on local teletext that Chandlers of Belton (nr Grantham) have had a Impreza stolen. They drove the car at the police before escaping at over 100mph

Feel for you mate, you must be sick as a fairground goldfish! I know it's not the same but a few years back I was due to pick up a new car at 15:00hrs having part exed my old one. At 12:00hrs the feckin cambelt snapped on my current car!!! The dealer knocked £600 off for the job, I was well pi88ed off. Hope it's sorted soon for youhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_9.gif

IIRC Liam is in Lincolnshire

WR1 12 June 2004 04:49 PM

Gutted for you.

As it happens my WR1 was in the dealers for four days before I could collect and they told me it was covered under their insurance should anything happen to it. Hopefully will be the same for you.

Good luck m8.

njkmr 12 June 2004 05:02 PM

Sorry to hear this m8.I am sure IM will sort you out .Kin scum bags, lets hope they crashed it at 1oo mph and fecked themselves up permanantly.

markus_UK 12 June 2004 05:05 PM

really sorry for ya ....

With trackers, Cat 1 Alarms etc ... it makes you wonder what else they can do to stop this with technology - it must be hard to hot wire ??????

Probably got into the keybox in the showroom / offices

M444GY 12 June 2004 05:27 PM

what a ****ter:(

Neil Smalley 12 June 2004 05:35 PM

Feel Sorry for you :(

I would think it'd be fairly hard to sell on, it's not as though they are as common as a ford focus. I'm not even sure you could strip them down for that many resale parts.

Hashi 12 June 2004 05:36 PM

I thought all tracking devices were activated as soon as they were fitted?
The installer would've had to do a location check with the control centre to make sure it worked. Surely they don't just deactivate them for the sake of a few days as they are hardwired...?

bogie 12 June 2004 05:42 PM

fookin barstewards, should all be rounded up and shot.

Low-life scum!!

Sorry for you bud

Bogie
