Default The wait is over.WR1 tomorrow.tfft!!!!!!!!

Phoned up today ,and was told it will be ready for collection tomorrow.Got cancelled order back in April, insured it three weeks ago,can drive it tomorrow.
I know others have waited longer ,but hell it has been hard waiting for it to arrive.
Been plenty of negative things on here about it,evo etc but not put off in the least.Coming from present car which is a non wr rb5 I know I will be more than happy with the performance, handling etc.
Any way I may not post any more messages for a while after tonight because I will be busy playing out in it!!
But will hopefully be back soon ,if I can prize myself out of it.
Gonna be a real oil shortage startin as of tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!
Number 260 btw.

The hardest thing isn't the waiting for it. Its the 1st 1000 miles running in and then the upping of the revs slowly there after:0. You can tell from a early stage how much more go it has even at low revs over the classic. Plus the fact that she's just getting on song at 4000 revs and then you hear beeb beeb beeb beeb (if you set the rev limiter), and you have to change .
Once you bring it over 4000 revs though, you will shat your self! Not just the kick in the back but the change in engine noise, it howls at you!!
Enjoy m8,

Had 10000mile service today so hopefully only a few weeks for the WR1and then the fun begins.

Spaeking to Peter in the sales and they had just been given another WR1 and it was up for grabs.

Also saw one in the flesh at Days and cant wait now and it looked stunning.

Cheers fellas and skidia (the scooby bitch!!).Will enjoy the car to the full.

I have never fancied the Mitsu BOO Hoo Ski for some reason.

Probably because it looks like a plastic toy car maybe!!!

Scoob 99 ,Stella Artois says I does sleep tonite m8.
Otherwise it would be a long wait till tomoz!!!!!!

God how I relate to that simple statement...

Got another 600 miles to go yet but the WR1 feels a lot quicker even when restricted to 4000rpm than my MY98 Classic ever did. Roll on the 1000 mile service

I've had the car a week now and this is my first post since picking her up

Well ,it is everything I expected and more.Only done 90 miles or so but it sounds fantastic, swivels heads as you drive down street and snaps knicker elastic at 100 yards!!!!!!!!!
Dynamite, just waiting for that touch paper to be lit in another 910 miles,it is hard to restrain the old right foot,as it starts to bite ,before I have to back off at 4000rpm.
The colour in my opinion and from others who have come over to have a look is brilliant.

If your waiting for yours to arrive yet, rest assured it is worth every long minute you have had to wait.

Very happy WR1 owner.

How do folks

Picked mine up Wed havn't stopped grinning since. (No 487 btw)

About 350 miles into 1st 1000.

Traded in bugeye wrx 4 it & cant get over the differance even at 4000rpm the differance in torque is amazing!

Setting the rev light is recomended.

Took it a drive over 1 of my favorite b-roads last night, just nice & easy 2 get a feel 4 the handling. Its a road with lots of tight corners, ups & downs, bumpy & uneven. It felt so much more settled than the wrx, soaked up all the lumps & bumps without upsetting it once. Even laughed out loud a few times when coming out of corners in 5th getting the hit of the turbo.

As 4 the should have got an evo comments it was my choice & im happy with it, if you want 2 get an evo good 4 u (but dont u think they're a bit plain looking?)

Try and get some more miles on today.

Gee

Agree with you about the torque, pulls out of corners in 4th gear like a steam train!!!

It is certainly noticeable, and catches all types of peoples eye, young ,old, even caught a Granny tampering with herself as I drove by,lol!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyable!!!!!!

Thanks mate. The dealer said he was going to try to find out how Subaru are getting on in terms of getting through the cars, but I'm not expecting much.

The first pics I saw I wasn't too sure myself - it looked silver and I wasn't too keen on that. Since then a lot more pics have been posted and I have no reservations now. I like the look of the MY2004 Scoobs in general as well, so I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Yeah, then I'll have to change my nick. I can't see a way to do it in the options, so I guess I'll have to re-register. Or does anyone know if I can ask a mod to do it?
