Sure this has been asked somewhere on here already, but a search didnt seem to find the answer, so here goes!

Are there any "deals" to be had on PPP through the Uk franchised subaru network? or is it a "closed shop" and you pays what they says?

any advice/experience much appreciated

Nope, it's a fixed price i'm afraid. However, some dealers tried to charge more before they were flamed...

Always join the SIDC, you can then get 10% off at some main dealers. WRX PPP £1600 so a saving of £160 for £25 outlay. Good value IMHO.

I managed to get 12% off at the Dealer I bought the car from. There are a number (not many) who will give SIDC 10% discount on PPP.

I got mine PPP for my WRX for £1400 by playing a couple of dealers off against each other. Bargain I thought.

Care to share which dealers you had fightin over the PPP?

Monks Heath Subaru in Cheshire (near Macclesfield) and Showells in Stourbridge. Cautionary note about Monks Heath... I had to explain to them what the PPP was. Since had conversations with them and from my experience they didn't convince me in the slightest.

It was Monks Heath who eventually offered the PPP for £1400 so I took this suggestion to Showells who offered to match it. I've always had a fantastic experience at Showells and can't fault them in the slightest. Not sure how they will be now Subaru UK are the owners!!

Still maybe worth joining SIDC, as with 10% off you should save around £200 for the STI PPP.
