you could have had an early STi a couple of days ago, but he sold it after months of advertising!
there's a MY97 type RA that looks quite tidy in the for sale section- I would imagine thats £7k ish though, maybe a little more.

You could get a clean my93 wrx import for 3.5k if you look hard, then you have 2k to get a wrc spoiler, sti rear lights, colour coded plastic, facelift front end, some 17" wheels and a 2nd hand decat exhaust off someone on here.
