Default Newbie here, buying advice needed.

Hey all.

Ive registered on this site as i have decided the next car has got to be a Subaru Impreza Turbo of some form.

The problem i have though is im not to sure what car i can get for my money, having read car magazines, kept tabs on Auto trader and browsed numerous web sites, im lost on what car i can get for what price, i.e year, milage, model etc etc.

I will be looking at spending 12k ( 13k max ) and ideally want a Subaru Impreza Turbo, but have no idea what model at present.
I would like to get a newer car as possible with low milage, but it depends whats about i suppose.

Any ideas of what i should be looking at for the price range stated above ?
All advise and suggestions are appreciated.

Cheers.

p.s. Some fookin awesome cars floating around on this site!

Yep, the silver one is stunning! a good price aswell, but the only downside is the milage, its quiet high really considering its only 2 years old. If i was to buy a 2001 model ( bugeye ) i would certainly want to try and style it like that. As for an estate, not quiete me, at 24 i dont think my mrs or friends would approve.

But thanks for posting the links, it given me and idea of what to look out for.
What motor do you drive ?

MY99 'Classic shape ' You could get a mint one and still have some cash left for 'toys'

It all comes down to which model you like. I have just bought a standard UK turbo from a Subaru dealership. It is a total standard silver MY00 with 33K on the clock and it cost me 11K. I personally like the classic shape much more than the ‘Bug Eyed’ newer model. If you want to buy from a Subaru dealership, visit their web site www.subaru.co.uk and perform a search. Usually you will be able to haggle with them and get at least £500 knocked of the price.

RB5 if you can mate. I've got an RB5 and I've had a standard UK turbo, the RB5 is well worth it, so much more for your money. Most insurance companies don't charge any more for the RB5.
