Unhappy So what's she worth?

Well I'm a bit depressed!

I've just got my car back from having the gearbox sorted and I know think the head gaskets on it's way.

Anyway after having the couple of months financially I have just had I'm not sure I can afford to get it sorted for quite some time!

So as per title what's she worth. She has a couple of mods I'll try and list them all.

MY96 Uk Turbo 2000 red

Exterior.

MRO front air damn
MRO grill
Morrettes
Carbon fibre air filter intake (ala Stuart Knight)
17" Radius R2's shod in 215/40/17 goodyear eagle F1's
Hi-spec 310mm vented grooved discs with monster 4 pot calipers Ferrodo ds2500's pads
Braided hoses all round
Black diamond drilled and grooved discs rear.
Eibach spring set
MRO side skirts
MRO rear corners
STIV rear spoiler
Jewel clear front indicators
Jewel clear front side lights
Jewel side repeaters
Sti rear clusters

Interior

Full interior from MY96 WRX or STI (red and black buckets and all the door cards)
Red and black mats
Nito gator replacement
alloy gearknob
Boost guage
Dawes AFR
Blitz Full FATT turbo timer
Pioneer oel headunit (not sure on the number will have to check)
Pioneer 6 disc changer (under passenger seat)
Infinity 5" components in the front doors
Infinity 6 x 9's 3 ways in the parcel shelf
Kicker ZR240 amp for the sub
Kicker ZR?? amp for the rest of the speakers (will check number later) Both link by Kicker sinc link (looks like one massive amp.
12" Kicker comp VR in custom fit sub enclosure (the one that fits in the rear quarter bit of the boot)

Handling

Eibach spring set
Whiteline rear roll bar and drop links
Cusco front strut brace
Powerstation bump steer removal and 4 wheel alignment

Performance

Blitz induction kit
STI V Intercooler
Forge dump valve
440 injectors
Bosch coils (273 the aussie ones)
GEMS Ecu ( with 3 bar sensor)
Gruppe-S headers and flexi up-pipe
TSL down pipe
Blitz NUR spec R ( make no mistake this lot is loud! )
PowerStation RR car ran at 296bhp with 254Lb/ft before the intercooler, coils, injectors and ecu were fitted. Would guess at about 320bhp now but not sure.

Car ran as is at the fast show at santa pod and achieved 13.2s 1/4 mile. My last run was a 13.3 with a missed change so I reckon it's got a 12.9 in it.

I love this car and don't really want to sell but am having a sensible moment and thinking maybe I should sell her and concentrate on my next project.

So what do you think?

Ade

Yes I can send you a celebration desktop wallpaper my mate did if you like (it made me smile) of the santa pod day.

I really don't want to sell her but I just spent a load of money I didn't have to get the gearbox sorted. I've had loads of luck lately! It's just all been bad! It's been about four months of unexpected outgoings (this will be the second scooby related). But adds up to a long wait for this fix!

Question

Anyone?

I'm just curious what people percieve the value of the car to be?

Wink Is that tumbleweed I see?

Ok

Being as I'm being overwhelmed with opinions I'll put it another way

According to Parkers price guide the car standard would be worth about £5K.

The mods on the car are all very high quality and if I were going to sell the car in full working order I suppose I would look at around £8K.

So in theory If I knock of the £800 approx for the head gaskets to be sorted does that make £7.2K a fair asking price?

Like I said before I'm hoping to just keep her in the garage for a while until I can get her fixed but was curious about the implications of selling a car not in 100% working order?

Any wild speculation welcome.

Sorry to thread steal but I have a 97 P Turbo Sports wagon, standard apart from Prodrive ex, KN filter kit and 17in OZ WRC alloys. The car is white, 66K, just serviced and well looked after. I still have the airbox and original wheels as well to throw in as spare bits I guess.

I was told to ask for 6k ONO - does this sound about right? I need to get rid of it quick for an incoming Evo 6 and another secret project.

Any help would be great as I want to put it in the for sale here later in the week.

There are some very average pics of it at:
http://crewism.co.uk/modules.php?set...bum.php&page=4

(they were taken on a Nokia phone hence the image oddness!)
Have a look and please let me know what you think - I will get some better pics done asap!

righty ho, what about selling the mods and then the car will be standard.
you can use the mod money to fix the car and get a possible top dollar sale price?

a majority of people are scared of buying highly modded cars.

subaru wouldnt touch it with mine.

Peanuts. I see what you mean and if I was determined to sell the car I would probably take that course of action.

But my point was more aimed at the hope of keeping it until I can sort the cash or sell it as is to save me worrying about it.
